10.0Mehinda is a very nice host, and a very nice person. He does everything he can to help you with anything and he gave us great recommendations about what to visit. He cooked breakfast for us, that was delicious. His respect and love for nature and his land is genuinely wonderful. He shared his love of Sri Lanka, Kandalama, Buddhism and Nature with us and we were deeply touched by his hospitality.

Friendly forest retreat.
9.0Away from the town and close to Kandelama lake, this little resort of few rooms is situated in a beautiful forest garden. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and I had a balcony too. Best of all was meeting, and being looked after, by Mahindra, who arranged dinner in the glowing forest, and a hearty breakfast. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. A strong recommendation!
