Nothing. I walked in then walked back out, got in my car and drove off.

The place, the premises . It was very run down and the room didn't look like it had changed for 50 years.

How comfortable bed was even though was a hot night was provided with a fan

My Review: Extremely Disappointing Stay – Major Hygiene, Safety, and Security Issues Overall Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) This was our second stay at this property, and unfortunately, it will absolutely be our last. While there are a few positive notes—the room itself was very comfortable, and we were grateful for the fan provided on one of the hottest nights of the year—the overwhelming list of health, safety, and security failures made our visit a disaster. 1. Housekeeping & Food Hygiene The housekeeping here needs serious attention. The state of the kitchen was completely unacceptable, with visible food left lying around to the point of rotting. In the breakfast area, the preserves and condiments had visible mold in them, and the yoghurt served to us for breakfast was completely off. To top it off, there was a sign telling guests to clean up after themselves, which felt incredibly rude given the premium paid for a bed and breakfast stay. While we have absolutely no issue with dogs, the strong stench of wet dog throughout the entire property was incredibly off-putting. The breakfast itself was okay, but finding things was an unorganized hunt. There seem to be people walking around whom we didn’t recognize, including one person who claimed to be the housekeeper but clearly needs proper training. 2. Serious Safety and Fire Hazards If you return to this property at night, be warned: there is absolutely no outside lighting, making navigating your way to the door in the pitch black highly dangerous. More alarmingly, as an ex-fireman, I was shocked to find that the fire safety measures are completely unacceptable: Inoperable Fire Alarms: The fire alarms on the property are not up to scratch and simply do not work. Blocked/Dangerous Windows: The ivy growing over the guest windows is completely overgrown and needs sorting immediately. If there were a fire, escaping through those windows would be virtually impossible.
