Chambre très spacieuse et idem pour la salle de bain

− Pas de télédistribution je n’est pas su voir la final de la coupe du monde pas de réassort pour les doses de café etc et normalement j’avais droit à un pt déjeuner dimanche et lundi fois deux

− Le bruit pendant la nuit car nous dormions avec les fenêtres ouvertes.

Beautiful rooms, very spacious and lovely decorated. Very nice owner, helpful and welcoming. Delicious breakfast brought to the room. Location very good, close to the shops, beach and plenty of restaurants.

− Street was noisy in the weekend because of the bars closeby, but we didn't mind.

Locatie was erg goed, overal dichtbij de strand, winkel centra, cafés, supermarkt. Maar ' s nachts véél lawaai tot 3 uur ochtend, elke nacht. Dus neem oortjes mee. En ook muggen apparaatje, omdat in ramen geen net is.

− Geen eigenares bereikbaar toen ik ziek was. Tv had geen signaal. Koffie padjes werden soms niet meegegeven met de ontbijt.

We travelled from South-Africa to see family in Ostend and found this quaint little place on the internet, we love art deco, and the online menu looked very appealing, so we booked 1 night at Belle de nuit and also a dinner for 3. Although situated in the centre, only a brief walk from the promenade and the casino, please know that you are om the verge of the party side of town, so your room windows closed will hardly keep out the noise of the party street loaded with pubs and screaming drunk youngsters nearby, and the public toilets at only a few steps from the restaurant are not really appealing (I am being polite). Because we arrived in a heatwave (32 degr Celsius and more) the fan was just not enough to keep us cool. Having to climb 3 flights of narrow stairs (no elevator) did not really help with luggage either, we wish we would have known that beforehand. The dinner was also a surprise, although we had made the reservation many weeks before, we received the menu, which we had already read online and we were excited about, but while ordering we were told most of it was not available (on a Saturday night during high season ?) We just wanted to enjoy ourselves and hence took the few options available without complaining, but especially my stepdad (age 76) was not pleased and knowing the city well (he is a local), he was very disappointed. The service was ok, but for only a few rooms and a restaurant of limited choice, a truly friendly attititude would have been much appreciated. We owned a hotel ourselves and worked in hospitality and would have loved to have written a flawless review, but that would be a lie. We will not return nor recommend either one, BnB nor restaurant unfortunately.
