9.0Food was excellent just like the way we prepare at home.
− Nothing to mention
Wonderful area and nice place to visit.
9.0Very nice and eco friendly property. A good one if you are looking for detox from everyday chaos. The staff is very friendly and goes out of the way to make you comfortable. We had early 6am Kanha safari n the staff made breakfast boxes at 4am. The also customised the food for my 5 year old. I would definitely recommend the place.
− a little further from centre and no network coverage, although there is WiFi.

A Perfect Eco Retreat Amidst Nature -
10.0Our stay at Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha was absolutely wonderful and memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and hospitality that it felt like a home away from home. The best part? The entire property is eco-friendly, sustainable, and pet-friendly—something that’s truly rare and admirable in today’s times. Lokesh and Suraj greeted us with a refreshing homemade lemongrass tea as a welcome drink, which was a perfect start to our stay. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and genuine—making our short stay feel incredibly relaxed and personal. The homestay is located about 20 km from Kanha National Park, nestled in a lush green forest with beautiful natural surroundings. There’s a charming little park right outside, and the vibe is peaceful and soul-soothing. We stayed just for one night, but it was packed with memorable experiences. There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the property—cycling, table tennis, a cozy library of books, and a lovely community kitchen where the food is served just like at home—simple, clean, and comforting. We even had a meditation session, which added a beautiful, calming touch to our evening. The next morning, we had an early safari at 4:30 AM, and the staff made sure to pack us a hearty breakfast without us even having to ask. A special thanks to Narendra Patle, who assisted us with our safari booking—and yes, we were lucky enough to spot a tiger! Overall, Surwahi Social Ecoestate is more than just a stay—it’s an experience rooted in nature, mindfulness, and genuine human connection. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanha, especially those who appreciate sustainability, love the outdoors, and are looking for a peaceful getaway with their family—even the furry ones!
− I feel the location was a bit far. A bit of challenging to find the place. But it's absolutely fine as one can download the location in Google maps prior to departure.
MUST VISIT PLACE.
10.0As a traveler who always seeks eco friendly stays, Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha has now become one of my favorite places. I first discovered this hidden gem online, and after experiencing it in person, I can confidently say that everything they claim is genuinely authentic. What makes this place unique is its deep rooted connection with the local rural communities. The moment I arrived, I could feel the warmth and simplicity of village life. From traditional architecture to sustainable practices, everything reflects their commitment to eco-tourism. Unlike mainstream resorts, this homestay offers a more immersive and close to nature experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the visit to Banjar River, located just 1 km from the property. Walking through the untouched wilderness to reach this serene river was an adventure in itself. The water was so pure and refreshing that I couldn’t resist taking a dip. Swimming in the river, surrounded by the lush greenery and the sounds of nature, was truly therapeutic. The food here was another delight. Every meal had a homely touch, prepared with care and authenticity. It was simple yet full of flavor, reminding me of traditional homemade meals rather than commercial hotel food. This is something you rarely find in modern accommodations. A special thanks to Narendra ji, Lokesh, Suraj, Anil, and chef Pradeep for their incredible hospitality. They ensured that every moment of my stay was comfortable, memorable, and filled with warmth.
