Fine as a place to stay but could do with some fixing up, area is questionable at night.
6.0The plus points: - Very helpful and polite host, they allowed us to check in earlier than usual which was a great help. - Free on street parking as long as you're happy to accept you might not be able to park within 10 metres of the house. We had no issues across the five days finding a space to park within a reasonable distance. - 10-15 minute walk to the town centre, either along the main road or through the park (which is currently being updated) - Hosts provided a bunch of teas, coffees, snacks etc which is always appreciated after a long drive. The kitchen is perfectly functional if you want to self cater. - Nice modern bathroom with spacious shower. - Long garden with a patio and furniture, we didn't use it but I imagine it would be good for families with kids or groups of friends. - One bed is firm, one is soft, so one of them is sure to suit your taste. - Plenty of corner shops near by if you need anything, Uber Eats etc rarely take more than 20 mins to deliver there. - The cost. It was reasonably priced when we stayed, especially when you consider you won't need to pay for parking.
− The less positive points: - The floor is super rickety and could be an issue if you're not confident on your feet, using walking aids etc. Some of the floorboards are loose and can do with being fixed. - The blinds might as well not exist. They might block line of sight into the house, but they do not block light at all which is a bit of an issue when it's getting light before 6am. - The beds are smaller than your standard double beds. Keep that in mind if you're two couples staying together or aren't small people. - The area is loud, and my partner did not always feel safe walking through after dark. It's very busy at night with groups milling around and cars blasting music. - Most of the locks on the front door don't work, this was mentioned in a review from 2023 and doesn't seem to have changed. It does lock, but it doesn't fill me with confidence (especially given the previous point). It currently feels a bit tired but it wouldn't take much to really bring it up to speed and make it a much more recommendable place to stay. Can't really fault the cost (£75 per night for two of us) compared to the hotel prices in the town centre.
Value for money but wouldn’t stay here again
3.0Everything that you needed , garden and fully stocked kitchen
− Shabby , uncomfortable beds, creaky very narrow and steep stairs , front door not secure . Bathroom downstairs.room with all sorts of junk in it unlocked . Very noisy location and smelt of damp
Lovely house but noisy location.
7.0Comfortable property which was generally well equipped and welcoming.
− Road that property was on was very noisy. Lots of shouting & car noise (loud music) including middle of the night. This made it difficult to sleep. Would also have been useful to have a grill pan for cooker.
Good location for city
8.0Close to city location. Whole house with garden was more than adequate for our needs.
Exceptional

Adequate house, rough area
4.0Lots of personal details, milk in the fridge on arrival, and biscuits in the kitchen, flowers in the living room. Very lovely! The house was clean. Loved the new bathroom and the washing machine. Very spacious. When contacting us, the owner was always very polite and pleasant. The city centre is very close, about a 15 minute walk.
− I wish I had known about what kind of street the house was on, as we had never been to Leicester before. It is a very rough area. Noisy throughout the nights and a constant wiff of weed in the air. It all made us (two women travelling alone) rather uncomfortable. Beds and sofas were a bit worn out, and the beds were quite squeaky. On the upper floor, there was a third bedroom used as storage. The door wouldn't shut because of the carpet, and there's a damp smell emitting from it. It had a bit of an uncomfortable vibe, to be honest.
