True gem of Java
10.0Truly a gem of Java with thanks to Pak Hadi who created and supports communuty and the precious turtles. The lodge is an oasis with comfy rooms and great food and hospitality. A short walk brings you to wide open Benteng Beach. Definitely worth more time than just 1 night before setting off for the overnight trip to Sukamade also arranged by Pak Hadi. Guide Ocha was wonderful spotting wildlife with knowledge of plants and local life and so caring for the turtles along with dedicated rangers. Observing Mama Turtle laying eggs and returning to the sea was an emotional experience. Learning about the life of turtles is amazing and the rangers work protecting next generations. Be prepared for basic lodgings for the overnight at Sukamade but it's so worthwhile. They also prepared good food for dinner and breakfast. Dry season was ideal for the visit while rainy times more an adventurous drive. The stop at Green Bay is also so beautiful as well as learning about local life and Pak Hadi's projects. So happy I finally made it here. Terima kasih!

10.0Hadi is incredible and created this Heaven. I wish I had stayed longer but we will definitively be back. He organized the trip to Meru Betiri with Cherry and Bagus the driver and it was my best souvenir from my trip. Hadi thank you so so much.
