Impeccable surroundings and amazing hospitality

This is a truly special place with impeccable hospitality with the host taking very very good care of my family and I. The breakfast was delicious every morning and he's very attentive and considerate making sure you're enjoying yourself and giving extremely generous portions. Our rooms were clean and nice and spacious. The property is also very close to the water and we were able to swim in the water and it was very clean and refreshing. Our host organised so much for us to do on the island like a backwaters canoe ride and driving us on tours of the island on his motorbike. He's a genuinely lovely person and really makes the stay special. I especially feel bad as we arrived right after someone left a bad review and bad score without even staying at the property (cancelling the booking) bringing his overall score down unjustly. Overall, if u want amazing hospitality and location and mostly to be able to relax, I can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent property and unmatched hospitality! The owner arranged a wonderful canoe tour and a rental scooty for us. The home-made breakfast was truly amazing. It was fascinating to see the owner's 250-year-old original house, which brings real heritage to the island. Peaceful, clean, and highly recommended!

Séjour paradisiaque sur Munroe

Jolie maison avec grande chambre et sdb, au calme sur Munroe, à 25 minutes de la gare. Très propre. Délicieux petit déjeuner. Le propriétaire nous a organisé une balade de 3h sur les backwaters que nous avons beaucoup aimée ! Un bon petit restaurant à cent mètres.

What a place! Stunning location right in the river. Beautiful greenery and vibrant plants on the property. The room is perfect. New, spacious, clean, comfortable. And suresh and his wife are fantastic hosts! So so lovely and friendly and helpful. We didn’t arrive until about 1am but Suresh was up and waiting for us and wanted to feed us! The food is delicious as well. Lovely home cooked, local food. And so much of it!! Perfect Homestay.

Nous avons passé trois nuits dans cette guest house. Il s’agit d’un cinq étoiles de par l’ambiance et le soin apporté à la relation humaine. Vous serez accueilli comme un membre de la famille. Suresh prendra soin de vous. Il s’assurera que vous vous portez bien. C’est un homme d’une gentillesse immense, très touchante. Attendez-vous à avoir une présence rapprochée, comme un oncle qui vous accueille dans sa maison. Nous avons adoré la personne et la famille tout entière. Besoin d’aller chez le coiffeur ? On vous y emmène ou on vous indique la meilleure adresse. Envie de vous balader sur les canaux avec une pirogue ? Un ami de la famille viendra pour vous y emmener. Sa femme fera du bien à votre estomac, sa cuisine est absolument délicieuse et équilibrée. Les 2 chambres sont parfaites, très simples et très propres et semblent très récentes. Choisissez l’option air conditionné pour quelques roupies de plus. Considérez cette étape comme une immersion dans une famille indienne, apprenez la culture locale et vivez l’étape backwaters le matin tôt, avant la foule de touristes le soir, pleine d’authenticité. Un tour en pirogue non motorisée vous coûtera 1’500Rs. environ. Petites épiceries à 50m. pour de l’eau ou autres. Restaurant à 5min. de marche. Il y a peu de choses à visiter à Munroe Island mais il y a beaucoup à vivre. Prenez le temps, vivez à un rythme reposant. C’est l’endroit idéal, une étape authentique que vous n’oublierez jamais.
