Good location

− Our stay was very uncomfortable and, most importantly, we did not feel safe. When we arrived, the caretaker appeared to be intoxicated. He behaved in a way that made us uncomfortable, repeatedly knocking on our door for random reasons while we were trying to rest. His final visit was to give us flower petals, which felt inappropriate considering we were two women staying alone. We noticed the caretaker and another man drinking throughout the afternoon and evening. Around midnight, we heard people repeatedly coming in and out of the cabin. Before checking in, we had specifically asked whether anyone was staying upstairs and were told that no one was. When I looked outside, I saw the caretaker and his son. They kept opening and closing the entrance to our cabin area multiple times. When I asked what they were doing, the son simply apologized and said they were “working on the doorknob.” I told him it was already midnight and asked if it could wait until morning because we were scared. I also told him I was considering calling the police because we did not feel safe. This happened three times during the night. There was no secondary lock on our room door, so every time we heard someone trying the doors, we feared they were attempting to enter our room. We tried calling the contact number provided by the property but received no response. We then texted the local police, who responded immediately and came to the resort. After explaining the situation, we told them we no longer felt safe staying there and wanted to leave. Because the cabin was isolated, located near the beach and far from the parking area with poor lighting and signage, we did not feel safe leaving on our own in the middle of the night. There were also other issues during our stay. The caretaker was very strict about electricity use, telling us to turn everything off even if we were only going to the beach. Nous avons effectué 3 nuits, puis nous avons étendu notre séjour 2 fois, pour finalement partir après une semaine parce qu’on a vraiment beaucoup aimé notre séjour ici. En effet, pour commencer, l’emplacement est extra. On est très proche de bons restaurants et cafés (en face par exemple un endroit pour le brunch), pas loin de San Juan en scooter (5min), et nous sommes très proches de la plage de Tubud. Il y a également accès à la mer directement depuis l’établissement. La maison que nous avons eu était top. On avait l’air conditionné qui fonctionnait très bien. On dormait bien et c’est très calme autour. La douche était fonctionnelle. Notre hôte a même un système avec des panneaux solaires portatifs, pour avoir de l’électricité en cas de coupure de courant, qui peut parfois arrivé à Siquijor, mais qui étaient plus fréquentes en raison d’un Typhon. On avait ainsi toujours accès à certaines lampes ainsi qu’un ventilateur rechargeable. On a un super espace de repos, en face de la mer avec des chaises longues, de l’eau à disposition, des hamacs et on peut même se poser sur la plage à marée basse. On a été accueilli par Noel, notre hôte, qui a été extrêmement accueillant avec nous. Il nous a organisé un scooter, le tuctuc du retour, conseillé sur des activités à faire et des choses à voir sur Siquijor ainsi que les restaurants, nous demandais souvent comment on allait, nous posait des fleurs devant notre maison (nous sommes un couple), nous a offert une noix de coco de son jardin, des bananes, et nous avons eu beaucoup de discussions très chouette avec lui. C’était un véritable plaisir de le connaître. Il est accompagné par 4 chiens hyper chouettes, sympathiques et calmes qui sont dans la propriété et qui rajoutent de la vie, ainsi que deux chats. En bref, un grand merci à Noel, nous ne pouvions pas rester une année malheureusement, on devait repartir, mais on a beaucoup beaucoup aimé !

− On va juste mettre que le wifi fonctionne par intermittence, mais très très peu d’impact. Ça nous permet de déconnecter, et si vraiment c’est important et que ça fonctionne pas, on peut aller au fig café. Sinon rien d’autre à dire, on a juste adoré le séjour

Right by the beach. Owner was helpful with questions. Parking for scooter.

− Not very soundproof room to the upstairs neighbour. Aircon was intermittent but the owner gave us a fan. The owner was very helpful but at times we didn't want to talk so it felt like too much.
