The fridge was full of food when we arrived. The hostess brought us Mauritian food several more nights. Clean, good location, bus stop and shop nearby. Whole floor to ourselves. Kitchen and cooking facilities. Good connection to Port Louis. The family was kind and helpful. It was a very pleasant holiday.

Als Alleinreisende hatte ich den Luxus eine ganze Wohnung für mich zu haben. Ein Zimmer mit drei weiteren Schlafgelegenheiten gibt es noch und ich auf meinen Fotos nicht zu sehen. Alles ist funktionell, das ist Bett bequem und nach kleiner Schwierigkeit am Anfang hatte ich auch heißes Wasser in der Dusche. Die Besitzer waren jederzeit bei Fragen zur Stelle und fragten, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Homestay paßt hier 100%ig, denn oft wurde ich gefragt, ob ich etwas zum Frühstück oder Abendessen haben wolle. Somit wurde ich an einigen Tagen mit leckerem Essen der heimischen Küche versorgt. Eine Bushaltestelle ist ca 5 Minuten ( zu Fuß) entfernt an einer Hauptstrasse. Somit sind Ziele im Norden und Süden und Port Louis zu erreichen.

− Tagsüber oftmals Hundegebell, Nachts ist Ruhe!! Allerdings ist das sehr oft hier auf Mauritius der Fall.

A beautiful home away from home!

My stay was absolutely wonderful! Everything was perfect. I stayed for one week, and already can’t wait to come back in the future. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable, with two bedrooms and a large kitchen, living room and dining area. There is also a desk and office chair in one of the bedrooms. My favourite place was the balcony and the view. I loved having my coffee and my meals on the balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains in one direction, and the sunset in the other! The family that host the apartment are incredible. I felt extremely welcome and safe as a solo traveller. I received lots of great advice about the neighbourhood, shops and how to catch the bus. I was also provided with delicious meals on occasion, including the first night. The food was amazing, really tasty and healthy! The family live just downstairs so they are always available to help. However, the apartment has its own entrance and all its own facilities, so it is still very private. The property is just a five minute walk to the main road and bus stop, and I never waited more than a few minutes for the bus. Then, it’s about a ten minute bus ride to Port Louis. While there aren’t many restaurants or cafes near the property, this was not a problem for me at all with Port Louis and Rose Hill being so close! Also, there’s a nice convenience store that is only a 5 minute walk. There is also a large discount store nearby where almost everything is 50 rupees. This is a great place for either a short or long stay! The apartment has everything you need for preparing meals, as well as a washing machine, washing line and iron. The wifi was good, and I spent part of my trip working remotely. While the apartment is excellent and great value, for me, the best thing about my stay overall was the lovely hosts. I really appreciated feeling so welcome and I absolutely recommend this accomodation!

I enjoyed the quietness of the place, the singing of the birds. Secondly the proximity to Port-Louis and Rose Hill. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
