A true homestay, lovely family, beautiful stone village
10.0This was the most authentic of all the homestays of my month in Vietnam. Three generations of family live in the home, and all of the delicious meals are shared with them - a rare delight. They are kind and open and helpful, and included me in family activities: the mama took me on her scooter up to the family graveyard in the morning, because a special festival was happening. The stone village is full of homestays, but retains its charm. It is also walking distance to the caves. The rooms are small and simple, with a mattress on the floor and no air con, but very comfortable, with everything you need. I slept well, not least because I was so happy:-). The Cao Bang region is stunning - so glad I came here and not Sapa, as I had to choose, as this is less touristy. 100% recommend.

8.0The homestay is right next to ban gioc falls in a historic stone village. It's a basic accomodation at a cheap price. The family are lovely and you'll eat dinner with them every night which is so enjoyable. They provided great recommendations for the area. The room was clean and as comfortable as can be expected for the price.
− The bathroom wasn't very clean / cleaned regularly.
