Amazing views of the tea plantations with very warm host
10.0The location is right amongst the tea plantations on the way to Alishan, and the beginning of Fog / Misty trail (a part of a 3 mile loop through the area with lots of scenic spots) begins right next to this homestay. We splurged and got the most expensive room which had an incredible view during sunrise, sunset, and even during regional rain, beautiful bathroom and design. Not all of the rooms have that view, so I’d highly recommend booking the top room if you’re making the trek up to Alishan. The hosts were soooo warm and welcoming, drove to pick us up from the Shizhuo bus station so we didn’t have to worry about carrying luggage uphill in the rain. They also have a really friendly senior cat, adding more charm to the place. I’d definitely go back to the same place if some forest / nature therapy is needed.

9.0Stayed in a room with a HUGE window facing the mountain, so beautiful. Loved the location right at the start of the Mist Trail. Breakfast was delicious.

The Best Stay of Our Trip to Taiwan!
10.0Wow! Tucked in the hillside along with many other home stays, right at the start of one of the many short trails through the tea fields, Green Incense was maybe our favorite stay in Taiwan! Reasonably priced, huge room with amazingly-large windows looking out over the terraces, it was a peaceful oasis. Great traditional breakfast, and the lovely hosts helped us get to and fro when arriving and leaving. We LOVED it!!
