we travel a lot and this was one of the worst units we've ever been in.
1.0was close to our activity
− house in state of disrepair. grounds looked like they hadn't been maintained for several years. unit was advertised as having a "private kitchen" - the only kitchen was the one used by other guests and by the owner. The a/c could only be activated by calling the owner. the lock on the front door didn't work. the back entrance could only be reached by way of a deck which had no lighting and loose boards. we left as soon as we could find other accommodations - we did not say overnight.
Welcoming hosts! Wonderful secluded getaway
9.0The host (Shawn) was very welcoming and responsive. Even though it was a room in the house, the king one had a private entrance and direct access to the back porch and pool. We were looking for peace and quiet and that room delivered those. In addition to serving us coffee every morning, they were also happy to share treats they had prepared such as juice and snacks. Shawn also ran the pool vacuum to make sure the pool was clean enough for us.

This place needs a public health inspection. I left after one night because of the disgusting state of the kitchen
1.0Pleasant host, good location for my purpose.
− Absolutely shocking state of the kitchen. Room had an awful musty stale smell and was suffocatingly hot and stuffy as well as being dusty everywhere. I asked for central AC to be turned on, but it wasn’t. I slept with all windows and outside door wide open. Grounds in state of disrepair with old and dirty outside furniture, recycling spilling over onto the dead lawn. Christmas decorations still up - a previous review from 2 years ago mentioned these so obviously no notice taken or effort put in to upkeep of property. Kitchen had a sink piled full of old washing up sitting in cold water, greasy pans on the hob, one of which had liquid in it that was growing mould on the surface, the inside of the microwave was filthy, there was a rice cooker on the side with old rice in it and the appliances were all filthy.
