Hospitality at its best
10.0Forest Casa, like the name suggests, is surrounded by greenary on all sides and birdsong is the only sound you hear, amid the peace and tranquility of this place. The Phansad wildlife sanctuary is towards the south east of this property and Kashid beach is about a kilometre away, to the west. What I liked most, was the hospitality of the owners of this homestay and the delicious home cooked food, prepared by the owner's wife. All the meals we ate, both vegetarian and non vegetarian, were excellent. The seafood dishes were extremely fresh and tasty. We had sukhat masala, pomfret fry, bombil fry, prawns koliwada and crab masala. All the vegetables in the veg thali were also very nice. The breakfast which was included in the room tariff was also very satisfying and tasty and they have a nice variety each day. The rooms were very comfortable and relaxing, with a small verandah outside that had a small table and 2 chairs. The room has a mini fridge, tea, coffee sachets etc along with a kettle for hot water, as well as a few complimentary packets of chips etc which was a nice gesture. The bathroom was quite spacious with a hot water geyser and they have provided a zip lock pouch that contained a dental kit, shaving kit, comb and moisturizer, apart from the small bar of soap and hair and body wash liquid.. I have stayed in bigger hotels that charge much more but scimp on these things to save money. Ameya and his parents ensure that all the guests needs are taken care of and he is always around if you need anything or just a phone call away. We never had any difficulty in reaching out to them.
− There is nothing that I didn't like during my stay, except for the attitude of a few guests who wanted to be served beyond the stipulated meal timings. Ameya and his parents wake up early and work hard all day and they obviously need to wind up earlier at night so it would be nice if people can be more cooperative in that aspect..
