10.0The Koi Room is a lovely, relaxing, calm stay on a small hill overlooking Ciudad Quesada, San Carlos. The many windows allow a fresh breeze to flow through and give a magnificent view (clouds permitting!) of the mountains across the valley. Host Kristina is wonderful and accommodating, and the pets (three cats and two dogs) are adorable. The space is quiet and clean, with super cute decorating; the bathroom design is lovely. We arrived tired on our road trip and were delighted to have juice, coffee, tea, and snacks in the room. The outdoors koi (goldfish) pond with its soothing little waterfall is a delight. Follow the GPS and turn before the pulperia (little store) on the unpaved road. It is fantastic to be in a quiet neighborhood with no traffic noise.

− You do need a car to stay there but if you do have one, definitely worth staying there for a short stay.
