8.0What really stood out for us was the peace and quiet. This place is located far away from the busy tourist areas, and it feels incredibly calm and relaxed. After Bangkok, this was exactly what we needed. It’s one of those places where you actually slow down. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and everything felt clean and simple, without trying to be fancy. It had a very “home-like” feeling rather than a hotel vibe, which we appreciated as a family. We also really liked the authentic atmosphere. Staying here feels more like being part of local Thailand rather than being in a tourist bubble. That’s something you rarely get at bigger hotels. From a Danish perspective, the value for money is excellent. Reviews consistently highlight that this is one of the strongest points — you get a lot for what you pay. If you’re the type of family that enjoys nature, calm surroundings, and a slower pace, this place can feel very special.
− The biggest challenge is definitely the location. It’s very remote. That’s part of the charm — but also the downside. You need transport (car or taxi) for almost everything There’s not much within walking distance It’s not practical for spontaneous outings with kids For us as a family, this meant more planning than we’re used to. It’s also important to understand that this is a homestay, not a hotel. That means: No resort facilities No kids activities No pool or entertainment If your children expect things to do on-site, they might get bored. The comfort level is simple, not luxurious. While everything worked fine, don’t expect: High-end finishes Perfect consistency like in European hotels Also, because of the location, you are very much “on your own” compared to larger resorts with staff and services.
