We didn’t feel comfortable with the owner and found the place very dirty.
2.0Very, little. Separate keys to room. Reasonable space for one guest. Backing onto forest.
− The owner lived in the master bedroom and shared kitchen and living spaces making us uncomfortable. Everywhere was dirty, inside the kitchen cupboards, all the kitchen crockery and utensils, etc. No dishwasher! The place needed a good clean all the way through. Mildew and mold in the bathroom. The verandah was too dirty to go out there as cockatoo feeding created an unhygienic mess on the floor. The guest parking was awkward for walking and unpacking, and very dangerous to get to the front door so we parked on the narrow street.
Luck of the draw homestay
5.0The host was alright, she was quite easy to get along with.Bed was comfortable and compared to other places quite cheap.Kitchen and big screen TV and friendly neighbours.
− It's a homestay so you share the house with other people you have never met before.Lucky for me this worked out but if the wrong type had shown up , would have been a shocker. People are not screened, rooms are filled as often as possible.Every night you could be meeting someone different and possibly enduring an excruciating night.
A uncomfortable stay
2.0On the back verandah there was Cockatoos and a Kookaburra.. and in the back yard a Lizard :)
− The floor was very squeaky, the beds and shared bathroom are very old just like the whole house

− It was not mentioned that it was a share house and that there would be a stranger sleeping down the hall and another downstairs. We felt very uncomfortable sharing the house and felt confided to our room
