Since we needed to accommodate 12 guests, it took us a few days of searching before we found this homestay that came highly recommended. After reading so many positive reviews and seeing that it’s located right in the city center (Brinchang), we decided to go for it. Once we made the booking, the host messaged us to confirm the number of guests and share the house rules. They reminded us not to bring any kitchenware since the homestay already had everything — and they were absolutely right! Still, we brought our own portable hotpot set, which turned out to be useful because the host’s induction cooker couldn’t be moved around. (Note: No pork is allowed since the host is Muslim.) On the day we arrived, the host had everything perfectly prepared and even sent a video beforehand showing the setup. They had thoughtfully arranged fresh flowers everywhere and prepared a delicious chocolate cake and chocolates for us. When we walked into the house, we were truly touched by their hospitality — the lights were on, music was playing, and the whole place was beautifully decorated with flowers and gifts. It immediately felt like we had chosen the right place. Each room was spacious, and every one had its own attached bathroom, which was incredibly convenient. The house is also very large and can comfortably accommodate up to nearly 20 people — perfect for big families or group gatherings. That evening, the host even messaged to ask if we liked the cake. When I said it was super delicious, they surprised us the next day with another one, saying we could take it home — but we ended up finishing it that very day! The location of the homestay was also excellent — just a 3-minute walk to 99 Speedmart and 7-Eleven, an 8-minute drive to Kea Farm, and 15 minutes to the Boh Tea Plantation. There were also plenty of great breakfast spots within a 5-minute drive. Thank you, Soraya and your husband, for making us feel so warmly welcomed and at home.

A perfect stay at Ahn Yi Residence

Location: located near Brinchang, just a 3-5km drive Space: 4 big rooms with a big pantry. The host put in a lot of effort to maintain this house. Cleanliness: super clean despite such a big house, believed other guests also put in effort to maintain cleanliness of this house Host: Puan Soraya, a very nice lady in her 70’s did her utmost effort to ensure the guests receive all the possible assistance throughout the stay. Very lovely of this.

− None actually. This house can fit 20pax. For a small group like me with 6 people this house seems underutilized a little.
