− Guddadamane homestay is an excellent example of buying Pedigree breed dogs and then keeping them as prisoners for a lifetime. We stayed in room no. 02. The room needs a lot of maintainance . The walls, curtains, table cloth have completely blackened due to moisture. The towels, blanket have holes. The real condition of rooms is not shown in the photos phone booking.com and the official website of Guddadamane homestay. The property has been mentioned as pet friendly. It was extremely disheartening to see their own dogs chained throughout the day. The owner can just increase the height of the compound wall of the backyard by 1 feet and set all three pet dogs unleashed in the backyard. Buying pedigree dogs and keeping them chained outside the house is definitely not my definition of keeping a pet. It is easily possible to segregate the property into two parts. One fenced open space can be reserved for the unleashed dogs under remaining property can be left for the guests. There are a lot of Google reviews where the customers have mentioned that his pet dogs are very violent and not friendly. Obviously the dogs are going to become violent if they are kept chained 24x7. His indie dog 'Black' is one of the most cheerful dogs I have ever met. I hope that he is kept unleashed for the rest of his life. Although I had book the property for 2 days, as soon as we checked in, I was horrified to see the state of the room. So I checked out in one day Pet charges of rupees 800 per day or neither mentioned on booking.com nor are they mentioned on the official website. The tariff of the quadruple room was Rs. 3500 + Rs. 600 (for 2 peoples breakfast) + Rs. 800 (charges for pets dog per day). Total tariff was Rs. 4900 per day for such an unhygienic room. For such a high tariff, they don't even provide basic facilities such as a kettle, tea bags, cups, mineral water bottle, toiletries. In spite of paying for both the days, I decided to check out on the first day...

9.0Food was nice and homely, Samanvith is an amazing host, warm and welcoming. Location is offbeat and peaceful, if you're looking for a place away from the crowd, go for it !
