− It was dirty & it stank. The bedding was not clean & my grandson had to sleep in his clothes. There was a mousetrap in the pantry & three more in the airing cupboard & my husband has photographic evidence of these. I wasn’t there but my husband was reluctantly staying there with our grandson. The windows were filthy & the garden completely unkempt. The cottage was full of spiders & the whole experience was horrendous.

A good bed and a very nice breakfast in a rustic home hosted by a nice man.
7.0Breakfast was great. Richard did an excellent job and provided vegan croissants and oat milk to accommodate our allergies. He was very kind and pleasant. The house is quite rustic and charming in that way.
− Sounds in any room are pretty audible from other rooms - limited privacy. There is no AC and with the extreme heat, that was a bit difficult. There are also no blackout curtains (or any on some windows). A few bugs due to open windows and no screens.

Lovely stay with a lovely host
10.0Richard was a wonderful host! He made sure we had everything we needed, the breakfast provided was delicious, particularly the homemade honey! We got stuck in Hay after attending wedding and he came and rescued us, which we were so grateful for! Overall a brilliant stay & a really lovely host.
