9.0What a wonderful homestay and family running it. Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful with all our travel arrangements and requests. The food has to get a special mention! Chipmonk Homestay has opened a restaurant and traditional cooking facility, and we were honoured to be asked to open it on their first day. If you are looking for a traditional Sri Lankan homestay experience, Chipmonk Homestay comes highly recommended. We wish you all the luck with your expanding venture.

− Matrass and pillow are on the thin side, which we would call a matrass topper in Europe.
The friendliness of the family is exceptional. We felt very welcome and at ease. Highly recommended!
10.0This lovely Home Stay is situated on a quiet road close to the lake, surrounded by plenty of (fruit)trees. Close by is a well kept pavilion where excellent breakfast (western or local) and dinner is served - cooked by the owner. Every meal was different with a variety of dishes prepared with local - or even homegrown - ingredients. Simply delicious. Our room was clean, the bed was equipped with a new mosquito net and we had access to our private balcony.
