Luxury modern two-storey house
10.0The property is a two-storey house and I was surprised that Austrians can live in such a big house with another house next to it occupied by the owner. It comes with a garden and an over-the-ground pool and BBQ, the things we take it for granted in Australia. Downstairs is a living area and kitchen with one bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with all the cookware, utensils, plates and bowls, many towels and dishwasher. Upstairs there is another bathroom with toilet and 3 bedrooms. Four of us (2 couples) occupied two bedrooms. The property is in Furth, about 10 minutes drive from Krems on the other side of River Danube, right beneath the Stift Gottweig which you can see from far a way. Furth feels like a suburb of a city but with vineyards around it. You do need a car to stay in this property and that is the reason we chose it as we need a car park space for our hired car. It is very easy to get around in Wachau Valley from the property which we used it as a base to explore Wachau Valley. The property is well furnished with modern comfort. The owner even brought us a bottle of sparkle water and a bottle of wine. Communication with the owner was quick and easy through Booking.com.
− A big coffee machine was provided with coffee beans filled inside. But we struggled to operate it as it appears to need scaling according to online search. It will be good if there is some instructions for using it or it is made ready with simple button pressing.

10.0Mary is a great and details-attending host. She has a welcome plate outside the room with my name on it. The room is not large but packs in everything that Mary wants to make guests' stay comfortable. She even provided breakfast cereals and a bottle of wine, oil and vinegar, paper towel etc. The kitchen is well equipped to cook a meal. There is a common area in a separate building for guests to sit together. The weather was wet during our one night stay. We made use of the umbrellas provided at the accommodation to walk around the farm and the town centre when the rain wasn't heavy. We definitely felt Mary's warm touch during our stay through the facilities provided in the apartment.
− The washing basin in the bathroom is very small and water can easily spill to the floor.
