I'm reluctant to write negative reviews when problems are not entirely the fault of the owner. In this particular case, there was a problem with cleaners and the place was filthy. To give the owners credit, they did reimburse us a cleaning fee and were very apologetic, however it did put a dampener on our enjoyment of the property. Particularly after spending a few hours cleaning on our first evening before bed. It was a shame really, as the property is in a great location right next to the beach and was otherwise very comfortable. Hopefully it's an issue that's now fully resolved. And don't leave Port Douglas without visiting the Mexican restaurant!

− Aside from the cleanliness issue, some of the small fixtures and fittings were in a poor state of repair and overdue for replacement. Also note that there's an apartment block under construction next door so there's some construction noise, and heaps of tradie vehicles parked between the rear patio and the beach entrance.

We had a wonderful stay. The location was excellent, and the unit was perfect for our needs.

The location was excellent, right on the beach and walking distance to the main street. I loved how big and open the kitchen, dining and living area was. The kitchen had everything I needed and more, and we used the BBQ often. Upstairs was lovely, with ensuite in the main bedroom. Air-conditioning throughout was great.

− Parking at the unit was quite tight. We could not fit our Ute into the space. Fortunately, there is alternate parking very close by, and we could see the car from our unit. There were also a couple of small cleanliness concerns.

Plenty of room, large fully equipped kitchen. Clean renovated bathrooms. Location could not have been better between the beach and the Main Street.

The unit was in a beautiful location right on the beach but easy walking distance to the main shopping areas. The code on the door was easy to use with no risk of losing keys. The facilities were amazing with lots of extra items included. The pantry was well stocked, with lots of crockery, cutlery , pots and pans and electrical items. The owner was easily contacted and replied promptly. I highly recommend this property.

− A rail on the stairs would be a bonus for older people.
