Very well equipped and clean apartment in quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by forrest
8.0Very quiet place. surrounded by trees. Perfect location especially if you like to hike, mountain bike, or run. The rental property is the basement/groundfloor flat of a house set on a slope, so the part facing the back is level with the garden. A real plus was the glassed in terrace/conservatory but can probably only used while it is warm enough outside. Next door is a quiet outdoor restaurant, we never managed to go for a drink or food but it had been recommended - and would be great if you want to have a drink with dinner. Much to do within 30 min drive, e.g. eat in a fabulous restaurant in France in small town called Bitche. Super friendly and helpful hosts with loads of suggestions where to go, it was possible to park on their property AND charge my EV which was a blessing as charging infrastructure is not great in the area. The house is very clean and the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Hosts offer wine and mineral water at cost. We had a really nice 4-night stay.
− As the house is set on an incline, the part of the apartment facing the street is underground and one of the bedrooms did not have natural light (just an air shaft) and ventilation. It wasn't really a problem as it was only used for sleeping.
