The apartment was very nice. Nice kitchen, nice couches, good bedroom. Good facilities in kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Excellent location near kurpark, tramway, hike routes and not too far from the elb. We really enjoyed the stay in these surroundings Great to have a guest information book, and even greater to have VVO guest cards, for travels in the whole region. Excellent!! We were late on arrival, but that was not a problem due to the keybox located next to the front door of the villa

− Wohnung 3 does have a balcony. But it's accessible for everyone. So not a private balcony. We don't smoke, but at several occasions there were cigarets in the ash tray? Also, the staff have to pick up the clean sheets from right inside the door to the balcony. Not very private. Therefore, we didn't spend as much time on the balcony as we normally do on vacations. The apartment was clean, but not VERY clean. We found dog hairs in the couch and on the floor. Clearly there had been a dog visiting the apartment. That's not a problem in itself, but it demands more thorough cleaning from the staff. We didn't have any contact with owners/staff, but that was not a problem at all, since everything worked out fine. But this is the reason for the low score evaluation on staff.

Gute, ruhige Lage, Zimmer ist ausreichend für 2 Personen, das Bett war super bequem, Klimaanlage vorhanden für heiße Sommertage. Für Sonnenliebhaber (keine Überdachung) ist der Balkon super, wir haben es genossen. Für alle Selbstverpfleger ist in der Küche alles vorhanden. WLAN ist stabil. Das Besondere für uns war der Amselgesang. Der Kurpark gegenüber lädt zum verweilen und zur Kneippkur ein. Für alle Wanderfans sind die Anbindungen zu den umliegenden Wanderpfaden super, so dass man nicht wirklich ein Auto benötigt. TIPP: eine Wanderkarte besorgen und auf das Handy verzichten.

Villa Emma is an absolutely stunning property and a peaceful location, walking distance to Bad Shandau centre and with good public transport links (We travelled by train from Berlin airport.) The host was very helpful and was quick to respond, we arrived a bit later than anticipated but finding the property and collecting the keys was simple and stress free. We stayed in apartment 6 on the top floor- it was beautifully decorated and furnished and we really loved the bright and spacious feel - the bathroom and kitchen/dining area is all glazed and looks out onto the rockface so was great to watch the birds!! We had a busy week hiking and sight seeing and the Gästekarte meant we had complimentary local travel, including the Kirnitzschtal historic tram. Hope to stay again at Villa Emma as there is so much to see and do in the area.

− There was almost nothing to fault with our stay so this is more feedback- There was very little soap in the dispenser in the toilet and it would've been helpful to have had some dish soap provided as when we arrived there was a smelly chopping board which needed a good scrub so we had to go back into town to buy some. Dishwasher tablets, kitchen paper, toilet paper and bodywash was provided however and greatly appreciated. This was just a small inconvenience and overall we had a wonderful stay.
