10.0The location offers splendid isolation and a stunning view of the magnificent Watzmann Mountain. The 2-person apartment was clean, spacious and my favorite part was a window directly facing the Watzmann. The location is peaceful, the serene silence only being broken by the charming ringing of cowbells. The host, Herr Brandner, is very welcoming and took an interest in our wellbeing, offering a daily bread delivery service right to our doorstep! To top it all off, Herr Brandner speaks good English so if your German is a bit rusty, you'll be fine. The location is within 20 minutes driving distance from most destinations within the Berchtesgaden Alps as well as the Austrian border. The price we paod for 5 nights, I felt was very fair. Ideally, you visit Oberreitlehen with a car as it makes navigating the area infinitely easier. There is free and abundant parking just a stone's throw away from the houses.
