10.0Lovely cottage and surroundings. Well equipped The owner was very friendly,could not fault anything. Provided milk, eggs, bread and 2 bottles of cider.

Lovely rural retreat
9.0Loved the location. Quiet, rural, private. Fabulous outlook & nice sitting area when its warm & the sun's out. We were able to cycle from here to Rutland water. Whole place to ourselves. Great communication from host & pleasant surprise of cider & eggs (both chocolate & hens) gifts left for us. Warm & cozy. All the facilities one requires.
− Looks like a little snagging required in certain areas like windows had some water ingress damage & bathroom floor tile loose & wobbly. Minor things & nothing that would put us off returning. Would have liked cushions for the wooden dining chairs as these were hard & became uncomfortable to sit on. (The outdoor cushions didn't fit on them) A few disturbances one day from van (of workmen?) passing by (one time was 4am) & a few more the next day from dominos pizza deliveries to the property they were all saying in next door, otherwise no significant issues.

9.0Beautiful location within easy reach of Rutland Water. Very efficient message about key availability and arrangements to access the property. Lovely welcome package - milk, cider, eggs.
− Some of the light bulbs didn't work - the owner apologised about this though. It wasn't actually a big problem for us.

8.0Beautiful and quiet location, great host. Lovely outside space and a very comfortable bed!
− Unfortunately the standard of cleaning of the property was poor which was a shame as it could be a perfect place to stay with a proper deep clean.
Stunning , relaxing will definitely return .
10.0The owner was lovely and friendly, fresh eggs and a bottle of wine was a nice touch .
− The property was idilic , views are amazing with beautiful countryside, was very peaceful and very welcoming would highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle.
