Quiet and spacious but not homely
8.0Spacious, very quiet, well located near some great pubs in Shanklin, and with easy access to the West of the Island
− It felt a bit tired in some of the details, with serious door scuffing on the entrance to the lounge influencing the first impression. There were some cracked tiles in one bathroom and a shower tray in the en-suite that did not empty well. The toilet seat in the main bathroom would not stay upright. Compared to places we rate a 9 or 10, it did not feel homely. The fittings and furniture were generally high quality, but are quite generic, and the few pictures present were hung in unusual places. The impression was very much that we were staying somewhere that was run as a business, as opposed to being invited as a guest to someone's home or special holiday bolt hole. It wouldn't take much effort to bring this up to a 9 or 10.
