− It was cold when we arrived (15 degrees on thermostat). It took a long time for it to warm up. The key pad door entry into the apartment was a little temperamental.
A lovely homely apartment, with plenty of space for 4 adults, in an excellent location.
8.0Having stayed here previously, we knew the location was ideal for our extended weekend as it was near some of our favourite bars and eateries, and only a very short walk to the exhibition centre. It's also a short walk to and from the train station, which is great for us. Access is via a keypad at the front door and the apartment door - details for these were sent a couple of days before our arrival. The car park was particularly handy for our friends. The apartment is spacious, clean, and very homely. This was our second stay, and we would happily stay here again.
− There was a smell coming from the shower trap but this was probably just standing water - the smell went after the shower had been run and the trap had been flushed out. Unfortunately, my sleep was particularly disturbed one night by a persistent ticking sound - I thought it was the boiler, which was in our room, but my partner thought it was coming from somewhere else. We never determined what the actual cause was, and the ticking only happened that one night. However, the boiler also disturbed my sleep as it intermittently fired up throughout the night - I don't remember it doing that on our previous stay. We also found the bed rather hard and uncomfortable on this stay. Again, we don't remember it being an issue the previous year, on our first stay - maybe the mattress is due to be replaced?
