10.0Staying at the Downtown Cocoon feels like a mini-vacation within a vacation. It begins with opening the door from the busy Plaka street, climbing to the top of the marble staircase, entering an elegantly designed space with thoughtful amenities and a large, comfy bed, and finally stepping out onto a rooftop deck with a classic view of the Acropolis. In the evenings, one can hear the traditional folk melodies being played by the musicians in the open-air restaurant below. The host was exceptionally responsive. Even the arranged transport to the airport was memorable, with a driver whose manner was elegant, personable, and kind.
