7.0Fantastic location, situated in the vineyards and orchards of a small holding near Lake Balaton. Lovely view over the valley and very peaceful. The owners are very friendly and we were provided with a jug of homemade wine when we arrived, which was a nice touch.
− It could do with some updating - new bed linen, towels etc. There were fly paper strips hanging around the place, with dead flies attached to them. Not ideal when you’re sitting down to breakfast! Some low-level lighting would make a big difference. At the moment there are very bright ceiling lights, except in the bedroom, which has a reading light over the bed. There was no soap or shower gel in the bathroom, although this was provided after I’d pointed it out. Only a very small amount of toilet paper too! We were asked to pay an extra HUF 1000 on arrival. Only a small amount and not worth quibbling about but it’s not the best first impression. I have the feeling the owners have only recently started renting out through Booking.com. With a few inexpensive improvements this would be an ideal and peaceful getaway. Hopefully they will put those improvements in place.
