adequate, no-nonsense, and basic apartment
7.0It is a basic apartment in an anonymous complex in a good location in Solden. The area around Solden is beautiful for walking, and Solden itself is also a nice little village. If you don't expect too much in terms of atmosphere or amenities, it is fine to stay for a few nights. The apartment functions well, is more spacious than a hotel room, nice to have a fridge and cooking facilities. Since we had come primarily for the surroundings, this basic apartment was a good (and more affordable) choice for us.
− There really is no Wi-Fi! The apartment is quite bare and part of a larger complex. Expect little coziness or amenities. Unlike smaller scale accommodations, there are no basic necessities or tourist information available in the apartment. In our apartment, we found a bottle of dishwashing liquid, a packet of salt, two dishwashing tablets and two toilet rolls. You have to bring the rest from home. There was an inventory list hanging in front of the crockery, along with a warning that if you broke or stole anything, you would be charged for it. It was all rather businesslike, as if you were in a French ski resort. Check-in is in a small office across the street, with the no-nonsense owner, Rita. We experienced no problems there.
