We had a great time in Berlin and our stay at the appartment was very pleasant.
8.0The location was fantastic, the people at the reception were very friendly, the apartment was very clean and safe. There were very nice restaurants, public transport, supermarkets, night shops and a bakery close by. At night it was very quiet even with the windows open (shutters only slightly open) on World Cup night when Germany was playing. The kitchen was small and basic, not meant for big cooking, but we were happy to be able to prepare breakfast, salads and small meals in it. Before arriving, we were a bit concerned about some of the reviews we saw where people complained about the noise in the evening and the bar next door, but we did not have any problems with that, so it was better than expected. We were a bit stressed on arrival because the reception closes at 20.30h and it is around the corner from the apartment (Leibnizstrasse) on the 2nd floor, so we needed to be on time from the airport. We kept in contact with the reception upon our departure from Amsterdam until the moment we arrived to the Maison hotel. Fortunately, we made it just before 20.30h and it all went fine. The receptionist was patient and friendly.
− The bathroom and kitchen are a bit outdated and need to be refurbished. The bed was a bit hard and the pillows a bit soft. The TV did not work but we did not ask the receptionist to fix it. All and all very ok for the price.
