Unique museum-like stay with a wonderful host, but cleanliness needs improvement

House of Arts is a truly unique place with a very special atmosphere — it feels almost like staying inside a small museum. The property has a lot of character, and the host was very warm, welcoming, and kind. It was definitely a memorable experience, not a standard accommodation.

− The main downside was the cleanliness and usability of the kitchen. There was quite a lot of dirt, so it was almost impossible to use it comfortably. Also, the bathroom did not have a shower curtain, so water was leaking onto the bath mat and the floor during showering. These details made the stay less comfortable than it could have been.

− Es war sehr runtergekommen, ungepflegt und schmutzig. Die Möbel sind aufgequollen. Es gibt nur einen winzigen Schrank für Kleidung, kaum Platz für Koffer. Es gibt zwar viele Möbel aber alles ist vollgestopft. Es braucht viel dass ich mich ekle, aber die Küche war in einem Gesamtzustand, dass wir unsere Lebensmittel gar nicht erst ausgepackt haben. Nicht mal Wasser für einen Kaffee wollten wir heiss machen. Offenbar wurde hier seit langem nicht mehr geputzt. Die Fotos zeigen Details. Egal was wir angefasst haben, wir hatten sofort das Gefühl dass wir unsere Hände desinfizieren müssen.

Großes Appartement. Gute Lage für Besichtigungen von Thessaloniki und Vergina. Der Besitzer war freundlich. Die Heizung funktionierte.

− Vieles ist abgenutzt und renovierungsbedürftig. Die Küche ist nicht sauber. Die Vorhänge sind offenbar schon seit Jahren nicht gewaschen worden. Duschen muss man sich in der Badewanne, es gibt aber keinen Duschvorhang. Die Betten sind durchgelegen und unbequem. Die Wohnung wirkt durch die vielen Kunstwerk überladen.
