From the moment we arrived, everything felt like a peaceful, sun-kissed dream. The villa is spotless — and by spotless, I mean eat-your-dinner-off-the-floor kind of clean. Every corner of this villa screams love, care, and stunning attention to detail – you just know the host (or more likely, his amazing wife) poured her heart into this place. And the view from the terrace? It’s not a view. It’s a meditative life reset. Just endless sea, sky, and peace — like someone pressed pause on the world. And at night? You fall asleep to the gentle sound of waves rolling in — nature’s own white noise, softer than any lullaby. It’s the kind of silence that isn’t empty — it’s full of calm. Now let’s talk about the pool. Forget splashy hotel tubs – this thing is a glorious sea-salt miracle. It’s bigger than any “standard” pool we've seen in holiday rentals, deep enough for diving, floating, or pretending you’re in the Dead Sea (yep, it’s salty – we’re talking levitating sumo wrestler level buoyancy). It’s warm, perfectly maintained, and honestly – you may never get out. We nearly didn’t. And if, for some strange reason, you get bored of this private aqua-paradise, there’s a hidden path straight to a private beach. Crystal-clear water, zero tourists, and a sense that you’ve stumbled onto a secret. Spoiler: you have. You might think, “Oh no, the owners live downstairs!” — but honestly, it’s a huge plus. They’re local legends – warm, helpful, and invisible unless summoned (like helpful genies, minus the lamps). We only saw them few times, and only because we needed something. It felt completely private, with bonus peace of mind knowing someone wonderful is close by if needed or in case of emergency.

Ideal for morning coffee, sunset wine, or doing absolutely nothing while pretending you’re in a magazine shoot. Let’s not forget the air conditioning – present in every single room like a loyal vacation companion, making sure you stay cool no matter how Mediterranean the sun decides to be. Travelling with a dog? So were we – and our furry family member got a warm welcome (with a polite reminder to keep her from sprinting through the garden like a furry missile). It’s a rare treat to find pet-friendly accommodation that’s this spotless and this stylish. We’ve stayed in dozens of places via Booking, but Villa Alena didn’t just set the bar — it launched it into orbit. From spotless interiors and dreamy sea views to a magical pool and the kindest hosts imaginable, this was pure Montenegrin perfection. We didn’t want to leave — and next time, we’re staying longer! Beautiful villa. Looks exactly like in the photos. Very clean and nicely decorated. Lovely hosts. The hosts live in the same house, but guests have total privacy.
