Very nice house in a beautiful location

Very quiet location, some amazing local restaurants with stunning views and close to a lovely beach

− A little bit further from the airport than I thought , no local shops so had to grab some supplies on the way from the airport, but was fine

The house is big and good for the family. But when we entered the house, spiders and small insects were in the house, and the small bathroom was filled with water within a minute. We do not know that the house is without a washing machine and dishwasher, and all the kitchen drawers are full of things. The water heater does not work. As for the price, it is very expensive because it is far from Rhodes, Lindos and all the beaches. The nearest supermarket is 6 km away and the nearest beach is 16 km away. The beach next to the house is very small and you cannot swim because of the stones. Be careful of mosquitoes and do not sit in front of the house in the evening. The owner of the house is nice and responds quickly, but according to its location, the house is not recommended and its price is very expensive. After the house was closed, I wanted to cancel, and I was surprised that the cancellation was paid, and I regretted it if I had waited a little and found another house. Valentina told me that the cleaning lady will come after I go, but she will not come before I come, and I think there is no cleaning lady. There is a lot to explain. The house is far away from the houses. There is only one neighbor, 3 km away. It is a bit scary. In the evening, you hear the sounds of wild boars. If I found this house again and rented it for 100€ for a week, I would not recommend it to me

Fabulous location, nice house.

Valentina was friendly in our emails (all in Greek) and was really kind letting us arrive early and check out late. The house is perfectly located for kameiros skala and Kopria beach. It has fabulous air con on ground floor and in one of the top bedrooms (which has an open connection to the other bedroom). The third bedroom has a fan. Well equipped kitchen with toaster and kettle. The best thing was the comfortable seating area in the dining room with a nice table and chairs where we ate and played cards. Also a huge new fridge. By our second day we became more comfortable there. There is a nice outside area but it was a bit cluttered when we were there maybe because of building works. And the outside porch needs more comfortable seating.

− We took a day to get used to the house - we had just come from two other pristine properties elsewhere on the island so our first impression of Valentina’s was coloured by that. It isn’t really a holiday villa as it is feels lived in although not unwelcoming . The kitchen cupboards are crammed with Tupperware, glasses etc A few stains on the sofas. A fax machine that occasionally beeps? Not a big problem. However it does need updating. Small things like replacing the rusty plate drainer by the sink would help. It didn’t feel as clean as the other apartments although the floors were spotless. It would have been nice if someone had met us at the place to let us in and show us around. Things like the shower (there is only one bathroom - downstairs) which is a wet room and floods the floor within minutes were a bit off putting and it would have been nice to have someone explain it all. Also there is a TV with Netflix etc and three remotes and we had no idea how to use it all. There was a portacabin behind the house - we saw activity there so I contacted Valentina who told me her kids were in there (two young men I think?) which felt really strange, as she hadn’t mentioned this and they hadn’t said hello. (I think this may be because of shyness and language). One came on our third day with a huge bag of cucumbers and seemed sweet. Basically communication was lacking. It was the biggest place we stayed but also the most expensive. The third bedroom is only really suitable for a child as the ceiling is very low indeed…the portal into it is so low that the 13 year old sleeping there banged her head. I had to stoop to get through and stoop in the room as well and I am 5’5. There were notes in the house that we could help ourselves to eggs but we could not find any chickens! There was also a note that we should strip our beds when we left which we did but nowhere else expected this.
