Nice quiet self catering studio not far from Kaiaua and the Firth of Thames

7.0It was just an overnight stop so we could watch birds at Miranda The place was very close just about 5 minutes drive away Bonus was the electric blanket on the bed, though the room wasn't cold Lovely and quiet
− I forgot my wash bag, so a facecloth would have been great

A place to stop and rest.
7.0Good basic accommodation. Loads of bedding, even an electric blanket and ac. Full size hob and oven, good towels. Owners supplied a bbq when asked. Owner permitted us to pick any fruit and veg ready.
− Inundated with flies, no drain area for dish drainer. Had to keep windows shut at night, sometimes day, to stop mosquitoes and flies. This made the room really hot, we used the ac then got cold. Our problem, not use to ac. No views out, just the gravel car parking area.
