4.0The location was good for me. Apartment was fair.
− I called the Host 30 mins before my arrival at the property and she didn't give me the code to the lock box. Then I had to call her multiple times and she didn't answer and waited 45mins out in the heat and then got a call from someone else to get the keys. This is Studio apartment and has a Murphy bed. Host did not mention in description that the apartment is on the 2nd Floor and had to carry two large heavy suit cased up the stairs. Bed sheet was not clean and carpet needs a deep clean. Bench top and Fridge had crumps. I had to clean the Wok and the utensils again as they had food stains on them.
The studio is exactly as described and Barbara is a super friendly and helpful host.

Not happy to provide personal bank details via whatsapp or text to host
1.0− Host was unable to provide secure payment option to pay the damage deposit. Host asked me to provide my bank details via whatapp or text for the money transfer, Booking.com specifically state not to do this on their website!?? Booking.com information did not state this process clearly anywhere, also, there was no meet and greet, as stated in the booking confirmation, with the host who was not located in London either. The experience was poor and I had to cut short my weekend in London and drive the two hours back home. Host told me that other guests were happy to provide their bank details via unsecured method. This process should be reconsidered i.e. include the damage deposit in the original payment and refunded without anyone having to give their personal bank account details via apps or texts etc.
