1.0The location to the beach
− I would strongly advise against staying at North Coast Villas Oceanside Unit B202. Our experience was extremely disappointing and far below what should be expected for a rental property. From the moment we arrived, there was a strong odor of mold and mildew throughout the unit. Instead of addressing the issue, it seemed like it was being masked with an overpowering plug-in air freshener, which caused constant headaches during our stay. The master bedroom mattress had a noticeable urine smell, making it uncomfortable and unsanitary. Basic accommodations were also lacking—there were no sheets provided for the pull-out bed, which is something that should be standard. The unit itself is poorly maintained: the kitchen faucet was broken, parts of the refrigerator were damaged, and several fixtures felt neglected. One of the most unacceptable issues was the presence of ants. This is not something guests should have to manage themselves, yet we were expected to use ant spray rather than the issue being properly handled. Guests should be able to store food freely without worrying about pests. On top of everything, sleep was nearly impossible due to constant noise from nearby traffic and the train throughout the night. Overall, this unit felt unclean, poorly maintained, and not guest-ready. For the price, this experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.
