Location is excellent, really handy for central Todmorden

− The entrance to the block of flats leaves a lot to be desired, even a basic hoover and cobweb clear once a month would be a start. The flats itself was very dusty and cobwebs caught our legs as we walked in, hadn’t been hoovered properly since the last guests. It’s clearly had a good refit years ago and it’s now lacking maintenance. Bathroom sink not attached to the wall, door handle broke off when we first used it. Cobwebs on walls, main lights in both bedrooms didn’t work, bedside lights in main bedroom didn’t work. Shower doesn’t warm adequately and seal needs replacing as it’s black, grout needs cleaning. Sofa is stained and could do with cleaning, fridge and oven weren’t clean. We called the owner when we got there, and had he replied over the 2 night stay to apologise for the issues I wouldn’t have posted the review in this way. I work in property and can appreciate maintenance issues happen

Sleepless in a beautiful habitat

The apartment was beautiful and clean, with everything you need for a weekend break.

− We hardly had any sleep due to people walking past our bedroom windows and some even stopped to chat right outside, this went on till almost 3.30, we put this down to the England Match and the fact it was a short cut past or apartment to the adjacent road.

It was a lovely light apartment with excellent facilities. The location is excellent and apartment spacious.

− The apartment was hard to find and access was difficult. it was on one floor as mentioned in the description but to enter the property there was either steep external steps or a steep slope. Inside there was another staircase to the front door. As i have an injured knee I had to shuffle up the steps on my backside.

The apartment is just as per the pictures on the site. Felt like an airbnb as the kitchen was fully stocked with crockery and cutlery etc, as well as some milk for a tea/coffee, bathroom also had shower gel etc. Spacious, comfortable stay.

− Personal preference but we found the pillows to be a bit soft, the walls to neighbours also seem thin as we could hear coughing and talking in middle of the night coming from the apartment next door. My only other grumble is that although the very helpful host provided a full guide and post code to find the apartment it is very difficult to find, we had to ask locals for some help.
