9.0a great 2-night stay at Darlington Town Centre Apartments while working in the area. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a stress-free stay. The free parking was a huge bonus, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable which made working remotely very easy. The location is excellent too — close to the town centre with shops, restaurants, and everything you need nearby. Communication was smooth throughout and check-in was simple. Would definitely stay again when working in Darlington. Highly recommended!

− I recently stayed at this apartment over the weekend, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The main issue was that the property looked completely different from the pictures shown on booking.com. The photos made the place appear modern, clean, and well-maintained, but in reality, it felt outdated and poorly kept. Several aspects of the apartment did not match the listing. The furnishings were worn, the cleanliness was below expectations, and the overall atmosphere was far less inviting than advertised. It honestly felt misleading, as I booked the place based on the images and description provided. For a short stay, you expect a certain level of comfort and accuracy in what is being advertised, but this fell short on both counts. I would strongly recommend that the listing be updated with accurate photos so future guests know what to expect. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

1.0− It does not reflect the description or standard advertised on Booking.com. The mattress and sofas are clearly overused, with noticeable dips that make them very uncomfortable. Additionally, the property was unclean upon arrival and there were no instructions provided on how to use the facilities or appliances. The toilets also have a persistent bad odour, which may indicate a leakage or plumbing issue. These conditions significantly affected our stay. I reported these issues to the host, who requested “time-stamped photos.” I am unclear how one would provide time-stamped photographic evidence for issues such as odour, cleanliness, or long-term wear and tear. As a host myself, I expected a more understanding and proactive response. Unfortunately, despite raising these concerns, I have not received any meaningful response or resolution from the host.
