Location is good if you have a car.

− We stayed for five nights with our one-year-old twins, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from check-in to check-out. In our view, the house is not suitable for families with young children. At check-in, Bettina asked my husband to help set up the baby beds and then spent more than 30 minutes explaining the house rules while I waited outside with one sleeping baby in the car and the other in my arms. She did not apologise for keeping us waiting or offer any help with our luggage. We were also informed only one day before arrival that a €250 cash deposit was required, which caused unnecessary stress because we do not normally use cash in the Netherlands and had to visit an ATM with two infants. Inside, the house was cluttered with excessive decoration, leaving very little space for guests’ belongings or for children to move around safely. The kitchen was extremely congested and had only two plug sockets for four appliances, so we constantly had to switch plugs while working in a very cramped space. Some kitchen utensils also had brown stains, so I had to rewash everything before use. The toiletries and cleaning supplies were extremely limited. We received one tiny bottle of shampoo and shower gel to share for six days. The dishwashing liquid was barely enough for one evening, so we had to go to the supermarket the following day, especially because we needed detergent to wash our babies’ feeding items. Only five dishwasher tablets were provided for the entire stay. At check-out, Bettina arrived with a checklist and inspected every room as though she were looking for faults. She complained that doors and windows had been left open because flies could enter, although it was July and the house had no air conditioning. She also complained about breakfast dishes left in the dishwasher. I explained that there were no tablets left, as only five had been supplied for five nights.

La Suite is an absolutely wonderful apartment, where you can enjoy yourself for a longer period of time. Even in hot weather, the apartment stays cool and it is lovely to sit in the shade of the terrace on a hot summer day. The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped. Bettina is a really nice, multilingual and helpful hostess, with whom things went smoothly and the conversations were interesting. Many thanks for the wonderful days at La Suite.
