− We've been loyal guests at Tshivase Nature Reserve over the years, drawn back repeatedly by its stunning natural setting and breathtaking views. The location itself remains as beautiful as ever – the landscape and surroundings are truly exceptional and continue to be the reserve's greatest asset. However, I'm disappointed to report that the standards have noticeably declined during our most recent stay. As returning guests, the contrast with our previous visits was particularly stark and concerning. Upon arrival, we encountered an electricity issue that set the tone for our stay. More troubling was the lack of availability of the administrator when we needed assistance – a significant change from the attentive service we'd experienced before. The accommodation itself showed clear signs of neglect. The rooms were not properly cleaned, with light fixtures visibly dirty and couches stained and soiled. Basic maintenance appears to have been abandoned – even the grass around the property is no longer being cut, which detracts from what should be a pristine natural setting. What saddens me most is the loss of care and attention to detail that once made this reserve special. The pride in presentation and guest experience that characterized our earlier visits has simply disappeared. The natural beauty of Tshivase deserves better stewardship. I hope management will address these maintenance and service issues, as the location has tremendous potential. Until standards improve, I cannot recommend this property as I once would have.
