Great place to stay with peace of mind
10.0The owner - Despina, is really nice and helpful. We were lucky, that we were the only ones renting - no neighbors :). The house itself is very nice, clean, spacious, have all the necessary utilities (maybe apart from a dishwasher). The pool is quite small, but enough to splash around and cool off on a usually hot, sunny day. The location is a bit far from the city (it's a residential area, no shops), so you need a car - but it's quiet and a bit more cooler than the city center (nice breeze). But it makes as a good base for car trips in central/western Crete. The price was ok for what you are getting. There are cats chilling around and sometimes visit the apartment. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves there!
− Not much to say: maybe the fact that there's a pig farm in the neighboring lot, so you could sometimes hear and smell it a bit ;). Bathroom is more on the smaller side, but nothing to complain about!

10.0Set on a rural hillside with sweeping views over Rethymno and coastline, this 2 bedroom apartment gave exclusive access to the beautiful swimming pool. We enjoyed lazy mornings and afternoons listening to the cicada buzz from surrounding olive groves gazing from the pool terrace and evenings with a Mythos or Ouzo and Coke. Wonderful. Perfect for a small family group, the 2 BR apartment which is part of a larger building, opens exclusively to the pool and has everything you need. Plus you’re a 10 minute drive into the bustle of Rethymno to enjoy its Venetian streets and harbour teeming with bars and restaurants. Hosts were perfect and responsive.
− Nothing not to like. You will probably need a car as it is a short drive up the hill.
