L'appartamento all'ultimo piano gode di una splendida visuale sull'Etna e sulla riviera. Tuttavia sono scarsi gli arredi nelle camere (mancano piani di appoggio) e soprattutto non vi è aria condizionata (presente solo su una camera contrariamente a quanto indicato).

− Carenza dell'aria condizionata, alcune pentole incrostate, seggiole vetuste e rotte, ascensore precario che consente solo la salita di 2 persone alla volta.

Fabulous owners and beautiful apartment

Great location with views of the sea and Mt Etna. The owners were fabulous people and couldn’t do enough to help. Booked us into a local restaurant which was fabulous. Highly recommended.

− Pas de Clim sauf une seule chambre,obliges de dormir les portes fenêtres ouvertes et beaucoup de bruit le matin à partir de 4 h.pas d’état des lieux avant notre arrivée nous accusant de problèmes qu’il y avait avant.nous partions le matin après déjeuner et retour le soir.6 adultes n’ayant utilisé que la cuisine.problèmes dans le séjour et les poubelles même pas vidées avant notre arrivée .

L espace des pièces

− Tv dans la cuisine mais pas dans le salon et le réfrigérateur ne tenait pas les aliments très froid malgré qu il étais au maximum J ai due jeter beaucoup de choses Oreillers pas confortable

Consigliato soprattutto per la posizione, si trova a metà strada tra i due versanti del vulcano.

Appartamento molto grande e spazioso. Con una vista spettacolare, da una parte su Taormina e dall' altra sull' Etna.

− L' unica pecca se vogliamo è che il condizionatore si trova solo in una camera. Abbiamo comunque dormito bene tenendo tutte le finestre aperte perché essendo un ultimo piano girava abbastanza aria la notte.

The flat is very spacious and clean, for 3 couples it was the perfect space to share. The views in both directions are extraordinary, there are so many windows, it’s bright and well ventilated - heat wasn’t an issue at the start of June. We were lucky to see the start of the big eruption on the 2nd of June from the balcony! The location is great, in a quiet area but still close to Giarre and other touristic locations (Taormina, Catania…). Silvia and her family were very nice, welcoming and helpful - she goes above and beyond to help guests with information about local amenities and assistance. We communicated mainly via WhatsApp and Silvia promptly responds, whenever we needed help: for example, when there was no corkscrew, we asked her and she suggested to ask to the neighbour as they know each other - she was lovely too and lended it for few days! Another great thing that usually isn’t in BnBs was that all the essentials were there: shower gel, hand soaps, washing up liquid and cleaning sprays, laundry liquid, and all cooking basics: pasta, rice, oats, oil salt, black pepper, garlic, and bottle water, and first breakfast such as fette biscottate, biscuits, jams, oranges from her trees, milk, sugar, coffee. Also appliances (hairdryer, hoover, iron and board, clothes horses, laundry baskets…). That extra touch that makes the holiday easier!!

− Just a couple of things to improve: the fan/ventilatore is quite noisy, and considering the air conditioning is only in one of the 3 rooms, it’d be best to buy a new fan, to not disturb the others in the adjacent room during the night. There are very few wall plugs in the entire apartment and they are far from beds or convenient locations. We found an extension plug and worked with that, but it was a bit annoying. there’s no bedside lamps so the evenings we had to read with the big lamp above the bed and then someone needs to standup to switch it off before sleeping. Minor things, but if the owners want to improve the overall experience, I’d recommend having a look at these points 🙂
