Loved Castro ...Poor communication host accommodation ok
7.0Large apartment Clean well equipped location ok up hill but that is Castro and we were very near the castle part of town Great view and a tourist train running but not stared yet in early June Loved Castro delighted to have spent 2 nights there. Charming quiet gorgeous swimming at harbour and enjoyed our meals near castle at night Fantastic 2 hour trip on boat RedCoral excursion
− Very poor communication before arrival No word from owner I contacted booking.com and holiday world company also involved Phone call rude and no English but no effort to try and communicate Left us waiting 90 outside property No need for this as we had given a time of arrival No water in property on arrival Everywhere else we stayed had this simple cheap essential Wrong number of beds made up so we needed another made up Lovely lady who came did this but owner on last day we left asked us for €50 cash for bed linen for this . Suddenly he had learned how to use google translate ! We didn't pay as we had clearly booked 5 with booking .com but it may not have been communicated with holiday world I did not realise there was another company involved in booking Also price of property was higher compared to our other stays in our 2 week trip Having said all this the apartment is fine and Loved Castro
