Total stay; there was 'no stay.' One hour; spent haggling to get out as unscathed as possible.
1.0Nothing. 'The Airport Lodge' platform description is embellished and deceptive. Inaccurate. Underhanded wording decribes place as 'modern, stylish and comfortable.' Nothing could be further from the truth. Entire premises is extremely shabby. 'Glossy' photographs simply do not picture the actual space. Note: The location was extremely difficult, complicated, confusing and inordinately frustrating to find. Host's instrctions stated: 'to be certain outside door is kept locked at all times.' My husband and I discovered why---as we began driving through neighborhood to locate premises. Neighborhood is poor, shabby, extremely run-down, sketchy and felt unsafe. Owner's platform description of a 'ground floor' apartment, is false. Actual premises appears to be a converted basement/garage: dark, cramped, closed-in---basically no windows, no air. 'Uninhabitable.' Cheap furnishings. For a $40.00 cleaning fee, premises was not cleaned thoroughly: condiment covers were left opened, and partially used; a used instant coffee jar was more than 1/3 empty; a crumbled, filthy, worn blanket was covered with hair and at least 1 twig. Absolutley disgusting. We didn't look any further. Through Booking.com agents' assistance, (who were tremendous help) we requested to depart, immediately. Owner had the audacity to charge us for 1 night's stay, including cleaning fee "because we checked in." Outrageous.
