Let me start by saying that the views in this area are absolutely beautiful. I have booked other units/apartments in this area before, and they were all lovely

− Unfortunately, my experience with this specific unit was disappointing, and I would not book this particular place again due to the following issues:Firstly, the patio/balcony was extremely slippery. My children slipped twice (thankfully without injury). It appears that when the air conditioner is running, water drips onto the balcony, making the surface very slippery and potentially dangerous. This is something future guests should be made aware of, as it poses a safety risk.Secondly, the patio/balcony was not well maintained and appeared untidy. The floors inside the unit were also quite dirty upon our arrival, which suggests that the unit had not been cleaned properly before check-in. Another concern was how negative feedback was handled. I mentioned the above issues on the review card when I dropped off the key. More than a week later, I received an email stating that R120 would be deducted from my breakage deposit for four broken glasses. We did not break any glasses during our stay, in fact, we used paper cups. Before leaving, we ensured that everything was in the same condition as when we arrived. Just a note the specific highball glasses they claimed were broken retail at around R100 for a pack of 12, which makes the charge questionable.When I emailed the letting company to dispute the charge, I was told the cleaner had reported the broken glasses. After I expressed concern that this may be linked to my less-than-positive feedback, I was assured that it was not related and that my full deposit would be refunded. We were also advised that refunds take 7–10 days to process. I checked out on 8 February and only received my refund on 21 February, and that was after following up. It would be more accurate to state that refunds may take 10+ days.
