We booked this property for the Two Oceans Marathon, expecting a smooth and stress-free stay before a major event. Instead, this was one of the most unprofessional and irresponsible experiences I’ve ever had with accommodation. Two days before our arrival, the host completely stopped answering our calls. On the actual day, he ignored us the entire day and only bothered to answer around 7pm. We arrived at Cape Town International Airport at 11am and were left stranded outside the gate in Bloubergstrand for nearly FIVE hours with no communication, no assistance, and no explanation. To make matters worse, the owner cancelled our accommodation without even informing us. We only found out when we were already there. We had no backup plan and no extra funds because we believed our booking was confirmed and secure. We were then forced to scramble and pay for new accommodation at the last minute. This was beyond unprofessional — it was careless and completely inconsiderate. You do not treat guests this way, especially when they are in a different city for an important event. I would absolutely not recommend this property to anyone. If you value reliability, communication, and basic professionalism, stay far away.

There was no explanation, no assistance, and no accountability. It was extremely stressful and unacceptable, especially since we were in town for the Two Oceans Marathon.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT EXCEPTTHE INTERNET

− WE DID NOT WATCH THE TV THE WHOLE WEEKEND BECAUSE THE WAS NO INTERNET. AND IT SEEMS AS IF IT'S BEEN LONGTIME. I SAW PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS.

Convenient and quiet

− I arrived after 3pm. The apparent was still busy being cleaned. The WiFi did not work consistently for 2 days.

The apartment looks exactly like the pictures! Stunning interior design and it has all you need for a stay. Just breathtaking really.

The views

− Our overall stay at the house was okay, but we were very disappointed with the lack of internet access throughout our stay. Internet is a basic necessity these days, and we specifically chose this property because it was listed as having Wi-Fi. We reached out to the host multiple times for assistance — our first few messages and calls went unanswered. When the host finally responded, he only suggested switching the router on and off, which did not solve the issue. It was only on the third day from the end of our stay that he informed us there was a fault, and even after confirming that the internet still wasn’t working, there was no further response or follow-up. This lack of communication and support was very disappointing. I’d recommend that the host ensures the Wi-Fi is working before guests arrive and responds more promptly to messages in the future.
