A place that needs more love and care showing and then it would lovely.

The space available inside was great, two sofas and roomy bedrooms and a good sized bathroom and showers. Also, there was a fridge, a freezer and a wine cooler, so plenty of space if a family was staying for a week or more. There was a thoughtful welcome basket and milk and juice in the fridge on arrival. We did meet the owner who was pleasant and welcoming and helpful during the powercut and said there were torches inside.

− On arrival we couldn't find a welcome book or any information about the chalet or area only a few leaflets, we did discover after some cupboard searching, information about the heating with the password for the WiFi but, if there was anything else; it eluded us. Generally it felt rather unloved, and albeit there were some considerations shown we felt that there wasn't any finesse. Taps and sinks were a bit grubby and there were dirty hand marks in places and items in the kitchen needed washing before use, it simply didn't sparkle when you walked in. There were a lot of air fresheners EVERYWHERE, but there was still an underlying odd smell. The double bed was simply awful. We discovered the mattress was so old (when we stripped it before leaving) and there was a hard ridge in the middle making sleeping nearly impossible. The dishwasher and ensuite bathroom smelled of stagnant water and the showers had mould in them. We were hoping to use the hot tub but the steps down to the shed ( we presume wood) were covered in fake grass and felt very unsafe and bouncy under foot and there was a very unpleasant smell in the shed of the hot tub, which in itself was uninviting. Outside was rather untidy which also detracted from the overall appeal. We actually considered leaving earlier but there wasn't a ferry available.

This accommodation is fabulous. The beds are so comfortable, the layout is fantastic. The people that own it are fab . Will definitely be back.

Very warm friendly welcome, with quick tour of spacious house, facilities and indoor games area including hot tub. Set on family croft with new lambs being born, seas views with shore access (400m). Very peaceful and secluded with 2 local hotel, 4 local cafés. Ness lighthouse, harbour, beaches, kids play park, bowling alley, stunning walks and sunsets. Cracking Easter break!

− There was nothing to dislike, everything was there and had been well thought out.
