I'd recommend it for winter stays, or for summer with a stronger AC in the bedroom

I stayed for one month in Maddalena’s flat in Empoli during my research mobility visit to Florence University. Maddalena is a wonderful host, very friendly, kind, and highly responsive, which made my stay smooth and pleasant. The apartment itself is charming and well‑kept, with an excellent location right above lovely brand shops and coffee places, and very close to the train station. My stay was in June-July, and the summer heat was challenging as the sun shines directly into the flat all day. There is one air conditioner in the living room, but it is not very powerful, and the bedroom does not have air conditioning, which made it difficult to stay cool. For this reason, I would especially recommend the property for winter stays, or for summer once a stronger air conditioner is available in the bedroom. Overall, it is a pretty flat with a fantastic host and a very convenient location, and I truly appreciated Maddalena’s hospitality during my academic visit.

Maddalena ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Sie hat uns noch tolle Tips zum Essen gehen weitergegeben. Das Superior Appartement ist sehr ruhig und der Kleine Sitzplatz draussen wirklich schön. Das Appartement ist sehr schön eingerichtet, mal fühlt sich sehr wohl, fast wie zu Hause.

− Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist gering, aber da kann Maddalena vermutlich nicht viel machen. Ansonsten hat uns ALLES gefallen.

Everything was excellent. The host, the location right in the center of the pedestrian area. The apartment was big, with a wonderful terrace wand with all facilities. Maddalena, the host a marvelous person. On Sunday she brought us warm brioches. Very correct and friendly at the same time

− It is very hard to find a weakness. The only thing is that you need to use stairs as the property is on the second floor. But is is same for all the building of the center of Empoli.

Highly recommended for Florence, Pisa and Empoli itself

The host, Maddalena, was superb - very friendly, helpful and gave great recommendations. The apartment was central in Empoli and a short walk to the station. Empoli is a lovely, very friendly town. All round highly recommended 😊

Die Lage mitten in der Fußgängerzone und nah am Bahnhof mit häufigen Verbindungen nach Pisa, Florenz und Siena ist ganz besonders gut. Maddalena ist eine Tolle Gastgeberin, sie hat sich um alles gekümmert und uns sehr geholfen. Alles ist sauber und gut gepflegt. Es ist alles da was man braucht, nebenan gibt’s guten Kaffe und Frühstück. Wir kommen gerne wieder, vielen Dank
